Lions and tigers and giraffes, oh my! Nearly 500 members and families made their way to the Ft. Wayne Children’s Zoo on August 3 for the largest member appreciation day event in co-op history. One of our principles, “Cooperation Among Cooperatives” was in action, as it was a joint event held with neighboring Malinta-based co-op Tricounty Rural Electric. They had nearly 2,700 members in attendance.
“Thanks to our members for taking time out of their busy lives to join us and celebrate what makes us co-ops different from other utilities.” - Brett Perkins, General Manager.
Members who attended received free zoo entry, ice cream treats, unlimited rides and a cooler bag, along with other swag. A full photo gallery is available by clicking here.
